MDCAT 2025 Registration Hits
The MDCAT 2025 registration has closed with a record 140,071 candidates signing up for the exam. The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) confirmed that the test will now be held on Sunday, 26 October 2025, instead of the earlier date of 5 October. The decision was taken to support students from flood-affected regions who needed extra time to prepare.
This year’s MDCAT will be conducted in exam centres across the country as well as at an international centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, making it more accessible for overseas students.
Why the MDCAT 2025 Registration Numbers Matter
The high number of MDCAT 2025 registrations shows the growing competition for medical and dental college seats in Pakistan. With more than 140,000 students aiming for admission, the competition is expected to be tough, especially in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where the highest number of candidates have registered.
