The deadline to place colored bins in schools is 30th September 2025. From 1st October 2025, inspections will begin. Schools that fail to follow the rules will face penalties. The Punjab government has assigned clear responsibilities to ensure this project succeeds:
- Maryam Aurangzeb, Senior Minister of Environment and Climate Change, will monitor the project.
- Rana Sikandar, Education Minister, has been given specific targets for schools.
- Zeeshan Malik, Minister for Local Government, will manage local-level arrangements.
